We recently held our 3rd annual chili supper and corn hole tournament. Everything turned out great, and we made around $1,000. That is such a blessing and will allow us to help families in need.
Fundraisers are a lot of work, and for me stressful. When we are working on fundraisers I usually become a stress ball. I want everything to turn out perfect. I also become a worry wart. I'm afraid we won’t have a good turnout, or we won’t have enough food, or something won’t be just exactly right. But in the end, we always do pretty well. I get so wrapped up in trying to have a successful fundraiser that I forget that God will provide.
We have been so blessed with so many amazing people who want to help. We are so fortunate to have awesome businesses that donate food and drinks, people to volunteer to make food, donations for giveaways, people to work events, there is just so much, and we are so lucky to have them all. We just want you all to know how much we really appreciate everyone helping us continue our mission.
We are working on getting a new Paislee's Foundation shirt order going very soon. We also recently got approached about doing something we've never done before as a fundraiser, and we are so excited to see what happens....stay tuned for more details!
Like I said, fundraisers are hard and a lot of work, but in the end they are so worth it. We want to ease some of the burden that these families are dealing with, and we never want them to feel alone. Our fundraisers also let us talk about our girl, it allows us to keep her memory alive. My hope is that our fundraisers help raise awareness for stillbirth and infant loss, that it is okay to talk about our precious butterfly babies. We want our events to continue to grow and make a difference in someone's life.
So ya'll be on the lookout for the new shirt and lookout for more details about something new we’ve never done before! We couldn’t do any of this without everyone’s support, and I could never tell ya’ll enough how much it means to us!
Talk to ya’ll soon!!!
